Hope in the Future: The Brownedge Parish Tree
To launch the Diocesan Programme “Hope in the Future”, on the First Sunday of Advent we celebrated all the many good things which go to make up our parish community.
We have built up our Brownedge Parish Tree: People representing various parts of parish life were invited to come forward and hang a small cross on the tree to symbolise what they are involved in. We have tree full of 63 crosses showing the different ministries and roles which go to make up our community, ranging from catechists to cleaners, and altar servers to gardeners. Many thanks to all those who support us in so many ways. We also created a “Wordle” in shape of a tree showing many more things which make up St Mary’s Brownedge.
Salford Diocese included us in their report of what different parishes are doing. See that report here: http://www.dioceseofsalford.org.uk/parishes-begin-hope-future-journey
