Lord hear us ……………………………….Lord graciously hear us

Reader:          For those in positions of leadership and authority; may they be granted the grace to hear and listen clearly and to see and observe with perception so that they may lead with words and actions of wisdom.

Lord hear us ……………………………….Lord graciously hear us

Reader:          For victims of discrimination and prejudice; may they be accorded the respect to which their human dignity is entitled and may we all learn not to make superficial judgements of people.

Lord hear us ……………………………….Lord graciously hear us

Reader:          For those who are returning to school or college at this time; may they begin the new term with refreshed spirit and enthusiasm, so that they may be able to grow as the people God created them to be.

Lord hear us ……………………………….Lord graciously hear us

Reader:          For those getting married in our parish this weekend and all married couples; may God bless their relationships with his love and grant them the grace to continue to live in his love.

And also, all the faithful departed, especially Jean Turner, and for all those who have died recently; may they be received into the joy of his kingdom.

Lord hear us ……………………………….Lord graciously hear us

Reader:          Let us pray for our own private intentions; (pause).   We ask Mary, our Mother, to intercede on our behalf: Hail Mary …

Priest:             Father, hear the prayers of your family gathered before you today, both those proclaimed aloud and those held in the depths of our hearts.  We offer them all now upon your altar, through Christ Our Lord,  Amen.
