BIDDING PRAYERS:  THE MOST HOLY TRINITY

Priest:             To the God who provides for the needs of all creatures and who delights especially in the human race, let us pray now on behalf of all.

Reader:           For Pope Francis and all the leaders of the Church;  may they be granted the grace and strength they need to be faithful and inspiring servants of the Lord in their challenging ministry.

Lord hear us …………….………………………Lord graciously hear us

Reader:           For all the peoples of earth, in whom their Creator rejoices and delights: may we learn to live at peace with one another as the beloved children of one God.

Lord hear us …………….………………………Lord graciously hear us

Reader:           For our government and all those who are elected to serve our communities; may they pay heed to Our Lord’s invocation to unity and seek ways to serve the common good.

Lord hear us …………….………………………Lord graciously hear us

Reader:           For those who suffer because of their race or religious faith: may they have hope.

Lord hear us …………….………………………Lord graciously hear us

Reader:           For married couples, for parents and children, for those who live in religious or service communities: may their love reflect the image of the Triune God. We pray for the sick and for suffering members of our community; may their afflictions not lead to despair but to glory.

Lord hear us………………………………….….Lord graciously hear us

Reader:           For our Parish; For all of us baptised in the name of the Holy Trinity; may the love of God be poured into our hearts.

And also, all the Holy Souls and all those who have died recently, (especially N );  may they rest in peace and rise in glory.

Lord hear us …………….………………………Lord graciously hear us

Reader:           Let us pray for our own private intentions; (pause).   We ask Mary, our Mother, to join with us in our prayers: Hail Mary …

Priest:             Heavenly Father, your Son invoked your name in prayer while here on earth among us, we now follow his pattern and offer you these prayers.  We ask that you hear and grant them, through Christ Our Lord, Amen.
