It is a wonderful way to begin the New Year, with the family gathering to ask God’s blessing on their home and all those who visit. Organist sets new Record!

Sunday 31 December 2017, the Feast of the Holy Family, marked a special milestone in the history of the Parish when Mr Raymund Livesey MBE, Organist and Choirmaster, equalled and now overtakes, the record 64 years set by his predecessor, Richard (Little Dick) Billington, who was organist from 1889 until he tendered his resignation in late 1953, effective from 31 December 1953 (64 years of service).

Blessing the Baby Jesus

The Italians have tradition of bringing their "Bambinelli", the crib figures of the Baby Jesus, to be blessed by the Pope in St Peter's Square on the Third Sunday of Advent, "Gaudete Sunday".

Brownedge Festival Christmas Concert

Brownedge Festival’s 2017 Christmas Concert took place in Church on the evening of Wednesday 6 December. Some 75 parishioners, visitors and friends attended and were entertained to a selection of Christmas carols, music and readings by the Lidun Singers of Lytham under the direction of Alistair MacKenzie, accompanied by Christopher Jones.

HCPT Dinner Dance 2017

On Saturday 11th November, members of the parish joined people from other churches across Preston to raise money for the HCPT Group 56th. This annual dinner dance helps to raise funds to enable disadvantaged children from the area, to go on a week-long pilgrimage to Lourdes.
