Welcome to Our Parish

“I have come that they may have life and have it to the full”. (John 10:10)

Welcome to St Mary’s Catholic Church, Brownedge, Bamber Bridge, in the Diocese of Salford.

We are a thriving parish community serving the people of our local area and beyond. On this website we hope you find lots of information about the life of our parish and the Catholic Church throughout the world. We will be delighted for you to come along to participate in our prayerful and joyful liturgies.

Our aim is to make God present in our midst; to provide nourishment for the spiritual, pastoral, human and intellectual needs of families, individuals and the whole community. In all we say and do we seek to be formed as the wonderful people who God created us to be.

When the disciple, St Andrew, first met Jesus, he asked Him where he lived; Our Lord’s answer was simple: “Come and see!” We extend that same invitation to you: come and see where Jesus lives. You might just find life … and life to to the full.

Parish Activities

Hope in The Future

We are engaged in the "Hope in the Future" initiative being run in the Diocese of Salford to help people grow in the call of Pope Francis to be "missionary disciples".

Food Bank

Bamber Bridge Foodbank is open at St Mary's Priory on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 10am to 11am. Donations of food can be left at Church.

St Mary's CAFOD group holds a coffee morning on the First Friday of every month at 10am to raise funds for those in need in our world and to pray for them.

The Saint Vincent de Paul Society is extremely active in our Parish, watching out for the needs of our older parishioners. Can you help the society?
